   Blogware has a maximum number of 500 categories. Is there a maximum number categories with WordPress?

   I don't believe there is a hard-coded limit. But creating a large number of categories would probably be a bad idea, I think the server would have performance issues looping through large numbers of categories. Use tags instead...
