install plugin before content comes over?

I have not moved my content over from blogharbor yet. I'll do that in a couple of weeks, but meanwhile, can I install and configure a couple of plugins without that effecting the content transfer, or vice versa? And the setup information (in profile) and test posts: will those be effected by content transfer?

Yes, it's OK to install plugins, set your options, and create test posts before we move your content over.
