I installed my BBPress so that when someone registers and posts a comment on my WordPress, it appears at the same time on my BBPress.

I have moved my wordpress blog from a subdirectoy down to the root and it seems to be working fine now.

When I installed the wordpress and the bbpress, I gave settings to ensure that they were tied together.

Now that I have moved the wordpress to the root directory, what do I have to change in the wordpress and the bbpress to make sure that when you post to the blog it appears in the forum etc.?

I updated a file in the following directory using an ftp upload ...
http://www.arlingtoncardinal.com/blog/searchdate/

However, using the latter method of URL entry, the updated file is not shown.

I tried clearing the cache on the browser and hit the delete button for WP-Cache and WP-Super-Cache, but still the update does not show.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is not a WordPress question. It is a bbPress question, but that is close enough. Besides, I am using WordPress along with it.

How do I install a bbPress theme? I created the "my-templates" directory and I unzipped my theme into a folder in that directory. But when I go to my bbPress dashboard, the screenshot for my new theme shows a blank space with a red X in the upper left corner. When I click to "Activate" the theme it shows a featureless version of bbPress with no theme at all.

Sorry if the following is a little confusing:

I also use a static web host service. I am wondering if I can have the arlingtoncardinal.com domain forward to a page on that site, but have a subdomain, such as blog.arlingtoncardinal.com bring viewers to a blog hosted on PressHarbor.com. I am thinking the answer is "no" but just wanted to check. Arlingtoncardinal.com would be a forwarded domain to a page on Arlingtoncards.com. Arlingtoncards.com is the actual hosted site.

By creating a CNAME record and pointing it to BlogHarbor I can have up to 3 hostnames, how does that compare to PressHarbor? Can I have a number of subdomains on PressHarbor going to different specific categories?

If I understand correctly when using the BlogHarbor setup I could have arlingtoncardinal.com on my static website and use the subdomains for the blog. Is that still possible?

Hi. I'm new to WP and am stumbling on how to edit my header to show limited links. Basically, what I want to do from the main page is to only show header links only for pages that have no parent pages. Then when I click into one of those main page links, then I want to show the children pages.

For example, for what I have uploaded to intuiosity.com so far, I only want to show About and Overview pages in the header link. However, if I publish other (children) pages, then they show up in the header links.

Any tips would be appreciated.
