Thanks for the reply. I did eventually figure out how to change permissions via Plesk. Main files I needed to access were/are the sidebar and occasionally things like the header, or for the theme I'm using now the license file. For some reason, our FTP service seems to be resetting itself back to the default config. It's not the same password as your Plesk hosting control panel or your Wordpress account.</p> <p><em>I'm trying to work via the Plesk control panel, but can't see there how I can change the permissions on a file.</em></p> <p>Yes, doing that via FTP is best.</p> <p>Just curious, what files do you need to change permissions on and why?
