I wrote to PressHarbor Support. As the correspondence below shows, I'd forgotten I had actually installed this plugin and thought it came as part of the WordPress installation.</p> <p>John suggested that by raising problems such as this in the forum the answer could be helpful to others besides me. We think it would be better for folks to see -<br /> today- what the effects of the new version will have rather than to<br /> install their blog and see it break a month from now....<br /> - Since there have been some changes to the DB schema, some themes and<br /> plugins which have not been updated or try to speak to the DB directly<br /> instead of going through the WP functions may show errors.</p> <p>In your case, the table 'wp_post2cat' no longer exists in Wordpress 2.3,<br /> so you are seeing this WordPress database error. I believe the new table<br /> name is 'taxonomy' in Wordpress 2.3. I am sure that the author will have<br /> a new version of the plugin available to correct this when 2.3 is released.</p> <p>However, the error that the plugin could not write into the path /var/<br /> www/hosts/thinkinghomebusiness.com/httpdocs is not likely to go away...<br /> I can't believe that any plugin author would expect that directory to be<br /> writable, that would be a gaping security hole...
